Vidya Knowledge Park Library System consists of five institutional libraries which started with the establishment of Vidya College of Engineering Library in 2006. The Vidya Knowledge Park library system is a vital resourceful information centre which is meant to support the study and research in many related areas. Within a short span of two years only it has a collection of more than 37,860 books, 35 International and 106 national Journals and it aims to be one of the largest library systems in NCR. The collection of libraries includes books, journals, magazines, CDs, DVD in the field of Science and technology, Management, Education, Fashion Technology and other branches of learning. Besides, these libraries have computing facilities as well as computer labs including digital library connected to Central Library. They have an easy access to the internet and electronic mail and electronic information resources.

In accordance with the objectives of the Vidya Knowledge Park, the primary mission of the Vidya Knowledge Park Library System is to provide the physical and intellectual access to information and comprehensive collections of documents useful for the faculty, students and the academic community of the Vidya Knowledge Park. The secondary mission is to serve the larger community of Scholars, Academicians, Technocrats, Managers and intellectual of Meerut and its adjoining areas.

The Vidya College of Engineering Library is the main library which is the central library coordinating the effective functioning of all the institutional libraries under the aegis of Vidya Knowledge Park. The Vidya Knowledge Park Library System has been using the Libsys, an integrated Library Management Software package with all the modules for the housekeeping operations. By using Libsys Web OPAC the users are able to search online catalogue by Author, Title, Subject and Keywords. They also know about the latest additions of the books and periodicals as well as the status of the books whether are on shelf or are issued out. There is a facility of online reservation of books for the users. The text books from TLL section are loaned as book bank service for the whole semester to all the students.

The basic objectives of Vidya Knowledge Park library System are in tune with those of Vidya Knowledge Park. They are to develop the library resources in terms of collections of books in various disciplines to promote the reading and other facilities and provide the comprehensive information to staff and students.

For the proper and methodical introduction to the services the orientation programmes are conducted time to time. Knowledgeable and friendly staff of the libraries is always there to assist and advise the users. Printed and web-based guides are also available to help for locating or exploring the information.

The users are provided with a user name and password to use the networked computer on the Vidya Knowledge Park may search library online catalogue through Libsys Web OPAC. Digital library/E-Library provides a single window access to E- Resources such as IEL online, Digital Engineering Library and ESDU through AICTE-INDEST Consortium and DELNET Database. Besides, a variety of free E-resources can be accessed through DIGITAL Library.

Air-conditioned reading room facility is available to the users for the peaceful and comfortable study purpose. The photocopies of research articles and document procurement service are made available from DELNET, if the user is willing to bear the expenses involved.

Vidya Knowledge Park has a state-of-the-art Computing facility consisting of 1000 Nodes with the latest Core 2 Duo processors and TFT's on high speed optic fiber based network in a distributed Windows/ Linux environment. The 10 mbps bandwidth lease line circuit from BSNL is creeping all over the campus including all academic building to student & faulty accommodation. Wi-Fi facility is also available in the campus. All the users are provided individual login and password to use the networked computers.

The libraries and computer rooms have long opening hours till late evening. They normally open at 8.00a.m. and close at 10.00 p.m. on all the working days. Laser printing, Xeroxing, binding services, CD/ DVD-writing and scanning facilities are available at the reprographic centre in Central Library. These conveniently located libraries have an easy access and make Vidya Knowledge Park a special place for serious study and research work.
